Paper at Colloquium in Sines

No próximo dia 9 de Setembro irei apresentar uma comunicação no Colóquio “Sines e o Seu Porto. História e Património” que irá ter lugar no Centro Cultural de Sines.

A comunicação, intitulada “O porto e a cidade: Intercâmbios musicais na cidade da Horta no final do século XIX”, irá focar as dinâmicas musicais geradas na cidade da Horta a partir do seu porto nas duas últimas décadas do século XIX, sobretudo aquelas decorrentes da passagem de navios das marinhas de guerra estrangeiras pelo porto.

Next September 9th I will read a paper at the Colloquium “Sines and It’s Harbour. History and Patrimony” that will take place in Sines Cultural Centre.

The paper, entitled “The Harbour and the City: Musical exchanges in the city of Horta in the end of the nineteenth century”, will focus on the musical dynamics generated in the city of Horta from it’s harbour in the last two decades of the nineteenth century, mostly the ones from the warships from foreign navies passing by the harbour.
